Summer is starting early this year! It's like the mercury on the thermometer creeps up higher every second. Let you're car sit outside for a few minutes in the afternoon and you will be welcomed by an oven-like heat ready to smother you!

Scientifically speaking, summer should start on the 20th of June. Why is that so? Studies says that on the 20th of June the sun would be facing towards the North Pole. And due to the earth's axial tilt, it would be that day the sun would be out for the an extended duration. Thus making it certifiably the first day of summer.
Here are some ways to enjoy the heat of the summer:

And then there was light
To borrow an old line. Protection is better than cure. Those cute looking shades are not just accessories. First and foremost they are made to protect your eyes from the sun's blinding glare. So use them properly! And while you're at it, bring that wide-brimmed hat you've been collecting dust with on your dresser. You not only need to protect your eyes but your whole face and skin as well. So slather up on that SPF lotion before you step out of the door.

Summer binges
A wide variety of fruit are in this season. Pineapple, mangoes, avocados and lots more. These fruits are usually fleshy and watery. Eat them ala carte or mix them with ice to make a fruity drink. And there are some stores have them already sliced, packed and chilled.. ready for your eating pleasures. They are full of nutrients your body needs to keep up with the heat.

Go out and play
Surely it's nice to stay inside the comforts of your home with the air condition on. You may have that exercise machine right in front of your TV set, not missing a line on your favorite show. But after sometime it could wear you down. How about oiling down that old bike and go around the neighborhood or to a nearby park? You'll never know who you'll meet down that rusty bike path. Or is getting in shape and getting that tan not enough to have you all set up for the beach?

Party time
Have a barbecue party right in your own backyard! Sip that ice-cold glass of lemonade to help you cool down and wash down those grilled hotdogs! Invite your friends to came over and maybe catch up on some news. 'Tis the season for replenishing your weary mind and body. So do it! Hey! It happens only once year so you have to make the most out of it right?
