Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime. This is an old Chinese saying. What is the relation of this to dieting?
This is actually exactly a key point in this discussion. Well it's not about teaching you how to fish, but to help you understand diet and the need to changing your lifestyle.
Most diet plans tell you to consume loads of protein drinks, energy bars or something. But do you know the contents of that drink or that bar? NO. The manufacturer would just list it off like the periodic table in chemistry. So you are not sure what you are taking but since you're losing weight it doesn't matter, correct?
Here's another one for you:
Diet 1. They offer you a choice of health drink, a shake, a snack bar or something. They will give you instructions on the dosage and how many times to take in a day. You will lose an astounding 10 pounds in less than a month.
Diet 2. You will lose the excess weight in a span of 3 months to a year at a slow-paced manner. You will have to learn of the right foods to eat and how each food will react when taken with the right kind of foods. This will teach you the important keys in changing your eating habits to a healthier and correct way.
You may find this confusing and unconvincing since both of these diets help you lose weight and reach your dream to become more sexy. But back to the old saying as others believes that if you want to help someone make it so that it is a life changing one and that it will help that person to turn their life around.
More so, diet 2 is the ultimate method of not only losing weight but keeping the weight off. The information you will learn will not only be to remove weight but to keep it from coming back. If a diet plan tells you to have to take their drinks and energy bars to lose weight then remove these diet plans from your list of choices immediately. You don't a diet that tells you to eat a manufactured food substitute to lose weight. It will be just a waste of time, effort and money.
