Having Laser Lipo versus Traditional Liposuction

If you are considering having liposuction for those problem areas that we all suffer from, you need to look into having laser lipo as an alternative to traditional liposuction. Laser lipo is much different than traditional liposuction. If you do your research, you will find amazing differences. With laser liposuction, you have little to no scarring. But, that is not the only thing. You are totally awake during the whole procedure as you are only given a local anesthetic for numbing purposes. You will not have to endure the side effects of traditional anesthesia. This is one huge plus in having laser lipo. Anesthesia makes some people sick, literally. Being one of those people gives me a greater reassurance that this is one less thing I have to worry about.

There are other significant differences to be considered. Blood loss is one of them. With traditional liposuction there is a higher risk of tissue damage and blood loss. With laser lipo, there is very minimal blood loss and overall is more of a gentler procedure. This brings me to another very significant point, sagging skin. Often times with traditional liposuction additional surgery is needed because you are sometimes left with sagging, drooping skin. With laser lipo, you receive smoother skin because the thermal properties smooth out the skin.

Also, you will be able to walk out of the physician office within two to three hours of having the procedure done. With traditional liposuction, there is a significant chance that you will have to be hospitalized overnight, particularly due to the blood loss you may have experienced. This is also a major plus to consider. You will be able to get right back into your activities within a day or two after having your laser liposuction procedure done.

There is also the risks of blood clots and/or bruising with traditional liposuction. With laser lipo, the cannula that is inserted into the skin is no bigger than a spaghetti noodle. This way you get minimal to no bruising, little to no scarring and will have smoother skin. It is no wonder that people are choosing laser lipo over the traditional liposuction because there is an immediate difference that is noticed with the smoothness of the skin. People who have had laser lipo can begin to see results sometimes as early as three to six months after their procedure, whereas with traditional liposuction, it takes longer to expect to see results.

Laser lipo versus traditional liposuction? The smart lipo choice is obviously the laser. It may cost the same as the traditional lipo, or maybe a little more but when you figure in the short recovery time, no scarring or anesthesia side effects, the benefits outweigh any doubts that you may have in laser liposuction.
