The adage garbage in, garbage out is not only true in data processing by computer systems but also in what you eat. What, when and how you eat has a profound effect on how long you live youthfully as has been proven by research.
This is because your body cells are constantly being worn out and replaced in the course of your life at a very rapid pace. The materials with which they are built comes from the food that you ingest thus the saying "you are what you eat" was born. The more nutritious the foods you take, the better and healthier new cells will be generated. This will leave you with a feeling of wellness and youthfulness.
So what foods are necessary for never ending youth?
Whole unprocessed foods
Grabbing junk food for a quick meal may be convenient in today's zooming society, but it will not only clog your system with unnecessary fats that are hard to digest but it will leave you feeling lazy and exhausted as your body uses up energy sources to grind the artificial calories. This beats the purpose of grabbing that bag of fries in the first place to save time as your pace will slow down to a crawl at best.
Eating whole natural foods such as brown bread, whole wheat, red meat and the like are easily processed and deliver enormous amounts of energy to the body over a longer period of time. This leaves one energized and youthful through out the day.
Raw foods
Cooking food, despite apparently adding flavor to food, has more negative effects such as denaturing proteins to a non-nutritious form to destroying vitamins among others. Eat foods the way you were meant to: raw. Foods such as fresh organic vegetables and fruits not only add fiber to your diet, but are also rich in nutrients.
For physically active people like bodybuilders and athletes, raw foods aid in the quick and strong reconstitution of tissues the natural way. Raw foods also optimize the body's ability to digest foods as processed foods are readily soluble and effortlessly digested in a bid to be convenient. This weakens the ability to digest foods well.
Water
The body is largely made up of water and even slight dehydration can have adverse effects on the thousands of processes that run on water. From cell formation, to digestion and absorption of foods, to cooling the body water plays a vital role. Sufficient hydration can effectively keep aging at bay as the body will be working at optimum levels.
For instance, the skin will look hydrated, smooth and elastic which makes one appear young despite the years that have gone by. Plan to take a total of 8 glasses of water a day.
Graze
Much like cows eat constantly, strive to have at least 6 small meals a day rather than the 3 large meals most people have out of tradition. This ensures a constant source of nutrients throughout the day and the body needs not breakdown its tissue in a bid to supplement energy requirements.
