People born between 1946 and 1964 are defined as Baby Boomer generation. These men and women are cruising through their 40s, 50s and 60s. Baby Boomers in terms of population are 25% and are owner of 77% of the financial assets of the world. This generation has got their own set of rules, not followed the traditional path and has got their own culture. They have dared to take unknown path. They want to feel good in addition to look good. Here good means to look young. They don't want to go through the same fate as their old aged parents whom they have seen becoming week and feeble in later years thereby losing their independence.

Baby Boomers follow dedicated work culture maintaining high standards. They are concerned about their health and fitness. They are seen in the gyms all around the world for strength training program as they have come to know that it helps then to remain younger. This age group expected to live into may be beyond 90s knows the importance of remaining strong and healthy since that would keep them healthy and independent in those extra years for enjoying life.

Baby Boomers are not excited on being called "elderly" and have no aspirations to grow gracefully old. Rather than that they want to remain youthful and active all through their life so that their health span and life span are equal. For that if strength training program is to provide assistance then they are ready to accept it. They have set their sight high - they are not ready to sit idle and see the world go by. Boomers have intentions to start new careers, travel and hobbies, for that they have to remain strong and healthy. Strength training is a tool to achieve this.

When Boomers are looking after their health, fitness and quality of life, they are sending a message to next generation about active style of a growing adult. They have a lesson for younger generation that weakness and ill-health is not expected part of growing old rather it is in our control to remain vibrant and strong. Active lifestyle can be maintained through fitness and strength building. Strong bones are built through building strength. Toned muscles will give better looks and hence youth.

Age is no bar to building and regaining strength, even people of the age 70 or 80 plus are able to regain strength in a short span of eight weeks. Once you accept that advancing age will produce loss in strength and muscle then there is no way out. Believe it your muscles will work as long as you make them work. Strength training will keep you young; no other form will have as strong impact as strength training.
