Most brides want to look their best for their wedding. They want to be their thinnest and prettiest for all the pictures and admirers at their wedding. Being the center of attention, every bride wants to look perfect. Some brides need some help to lose those last inches or to tighten up their bra area, back of the arms, abdomen or double chin.
With all eyes on them, they are looking for a solution to their special day, special in every way. Some brides just can't seem to get those last inches to budge and turn to surgery. With fat reduction surgery becoming more safe, some consider it as an option. Laser liposuction is a surgery that can safely remove fat from specific areas, but it should be times right so that the patient is completely healed before the wedding day.
Fat reduction surgery is performed either in a hospital or doctor's office with the use of local anesthesia versus general anesthesia. This makes the surgery less risky with complications due to putting a patient under. Another benefit is that the lidocaine used in local anesthesia restricts blood vessels and reduces blood loss. A teeny tiny cannula that looks like a hallowed out needle is inserted under the skin. The cannula contains a laser which melts the fat until it liquidizes, then removes out of the body.
The patient is awake the whole time and does not experience any pain during or after the surgery. If any pain does occur, it is usually minor and easily managed with over the counter medication. Surgery only takes an hour per body part and allows patients to walk out of the hospital in about three hours. No sutures are required for the tiny incisions, therefore patience do not experience scarring, a big plus for brides to be. Swelling and bruising are all but non existent due to the gentle movements of cannula under the skin.
A bride is always nervous about her wedding day and how she looks should not add to the stress. The best time to have this type of surgery is at least 6 months before the wedding. Laser liposuction results are visible immediately and look great within three months, but at six months the final results are there. The recovery period is generally quick and most patients are back to work the next day. Doctor's advise at least two days of light to moderate activity and that a compression garment is worn for three days and nights. For some areas, the garment must be worn for at least 8 hours per day for two weeks after that. The garment is easily hidden, unless surgery was performed on a double chin or neck.
