The world has certainly changed. The lifestyle of our grandparents as well as the physical environment they lived in are so different from that of today. Gone are the days when the air, water and land were chemical and pesticide free. We who live in the 21st century have bodies which are overburdened, deficient in nutrients and padded with excess fat. People who live in North America are in a particularly sorry state eating artificial and chemically processed foods laden with useless calories purported to be safe by food manufacturers. It's about time that we got shaken out of our stupor. Remember that each time you eat something from a pack, you are actually taking in a large amount of MSG. This is also true for some organic foods.

The dramatic change in our lifestyle, in particular the way we eat, has adversely affected our health. Because of this, our bodies have become toxic and over acidic. We need to do something now in order to avoid problems in the future and hemp seeds are the answer!
Hemp seeds contain the best quality nutrients and the correct balance of Omega 3 and Omega 6 essential oils, linoleic acid, vitamin E and trace minerals. These seeds are also made up of 33% protein.

Most of the diets we have today do not have the correct balance of nutrients. For instance, a calcium supplement will not be absorbed by the body unless it is taken with magnesium and something acidic such as vinegar or lemon juice diluted in water. The same goes for Omega 3 and Omega 6. Both are needed by the cells of the body, the absence of one may result in an imbalance.

Fish oils are a great source of Omega 3 and 6. However, if you hate the aftertaste or are worried about the pollutants that may have contaminated the fish, you can eat hemp seeds instead. You may also use cold pressed hemp oil in your salad dressing. Because of its pleasant nutty taste, it can be added to any dish. Hemp seeds can be added to your breakfast cereal, yogurt or smoothies. You can also grind them to make nut butter. It can also made into milk to replace the regular kind you usually take. Below is the recipe for homemade hemp milk.

Ingredients:
2 cups of hulled hemp seeds
Very hot water
Blender
Colander
Hemp cloth or cheese cloth

Procedure:
Put the hemp seeds in the blender and add hot water to about 3/4 of the way. Cover the blender and hold the lid in place. Put the blender on the lowest setting then turn it on. After a while, increase the speed slowly up to high and blend for a few minutes. Place the colander in a large bowl and put the cheesecloth into the colander. Carefully pour all the milk into the colander. Gather all four corners of the cheesecloth and squeeze out the remaining liquid. Pour the milk into a container with a lid cover and refrigerate. Use it like regular milk.

Hemp seeds supply the body with all the essential fatty acids it needs for detoxification as well as for the restoration of the proper balance of acid and alkaline. This balance is important because it is in an overly acidic body that disease thrives. In addition, eating hemp seeds everyday may help add luster to your hair, improve skin conditions and most important of all, boost cardiovascular health.

While you're at it, you may as well look into the benefits offered by organic fruits and vegetables in improving overall health.
