So the lemonade diet is great because it cleanses the body, but more than that, it does so without having to spend a lot of money. In fact, the Master Cleanse Lemonade Diet is pretty much dirt-cheap. This means that all you need are a few lemons and your ready to go, right? Well not quite. There are actually a few things you need to know before starting the lemonade cleansing diet. These things include the ease-in, the lemonade cleansing, the salt-water flush and the ease-out.
The Lemonade Cleansing Ease-In:
This part of the lemonade diet includes getting used to what you're going to do to your body; which essentially means removing solid foods from your diet for a few weeks and starting a liquid diet. You are going to be providing your body with a diet it has never known or experienced before. Obviously this can be a bit much for your body if you do not prepare or 'ease-in' to the Master Cleanse, thus the ease-in part of the Master Cleanse.
Basically, the ease-in involves taking in mostly live foods the first day, which means nuts and seeds and salads and breads, only taking in vegetable broths and juices the second day and only orange juice on the third day.
The Lemonade Cleansing Diet:
So here is the meat and potatoes of the Master Cleanse Lemonade Diet. This is where the actual cleansing takes place (the whole reason your doing this in the first place). Essentially the diet involves 10 days of lemonade but of course there is a little more to it than that. You will need large lemons, 14 tablespoons of maple syrup (high-grade), 2 teaspoons of cayenne pepper and 2 liters of purified water.
Essentially, the preparation goes like this: Squeeze out the lemon juice and measure out about 7 tablespoons of lemons and pour into a 1 liter bottle. Now add 7 tablespoons of maple syrup to the 1 liter bottle. Next, add the cayenne pepper (2 teaspoons) and then add the purified water. Shake and then repeat so you have 2, 1 liter bottles. This is what you drink everyday. This is the lemonade cleansing diet. You are supposed to do this for 10 days (no wonder there is an ease-in).
Salt-Water Flush:
The salt-water flush is considered a very important part of the lemonade diet. Here is how it works: You simply take one of the 1-liter bottles, add 1 teaspoon to 1 tablespoon of sea salt (used for cooking) and then mix it up and pound it. Expect a bowel movement in about an hour and several more for the next few days. This is some of the colon cleansing process and shows that all that hard work was not in vein.
The Ease-Out:
Okay so you've eased-in, taken your lemonade, salt-water flushed so now what? Now you do the ease-out which is exactly the same as the ease-in but backwards. So you drink orange juice mixed with maple syrup on the first day, take in vegetable and fruit juice or vegetable broth on the second day and finally start eating solid food again on the fourth day. If you got this far, congratulations, your done! You should feel pretty darn good at this point.
