Working out regularly is very important. Most people do not believe this, because they just do not want to "give in to the hype". The only problem is that there is no hype, if you work out regularly, you will get fit, and the more fit your are, the healthier your are - as long as you are eating properly too. If you do not want to do a lot of weight training, you may want to figure out what the power of yoga breathing exercises is.

There are many types of work out routines that do not involve getting large muscles. Now, we all know that not everyone wants to look a large bag of muscles, and there is no need to do that. If you just want to get fit, so that you can live a longer life, then you should start looking into ways to get fit without heavy weights.

Now things you also have to keep in mind, is that just because you work out with weight, does not mean you are fit, it just means that you have large muscles, but when it comes down to it, you will see that you will not be able to keep up with an endurance trainer.

Getting fits is not easy, and you should remember that it does take time, so you should be realistic with your goal setting, because if you are not, then you will just end up disappointed in yourself, and this will lead to you not wanting to work out anymore.

Yoga is a really good work out, because it gets you fit (with the breathing exercises), and it builds muscles (with the intricate stances and poses). You will find that you will burn fat with yoga too, because sitting in a pose for a long time does take it out of you, and you will find that you will be out of breath.
