Everyone would probably attest to the idea that there are innumerable factors that lead to the major culprit behind eating binges. However, when eating becomes somewhat uncontrollable, one of the distinct possibilities that we have to face is the possibility of becoming obese. Health experts and nutritionists have already raised awareness because there is an increase in the number of those people who are diagnosed as obese. Although obesity in itself is not a permanent condition, it is still a tad difficult to lose much weight, especially if the methods that are being used are not that efficient.

Moreover, certain individual differences can also cause us to become somewhat immune to certain weight loss methods, even of these methods brought commendable results in other dieters. As such, there is considerable though that is given about the other so-called alternatives that can aid on health and weight management. One of these alternatives is though the use of additives such as Superfoods.

For as long as we can remember, the names mangosteen, noni, and goji berries have been a fixture all around us. It is often found in drinks and beverages that are said to rejuvenate, replenish, and revitalize our systems. But then again, what do we really know about these additives? Here is a short description about the common types of superfoods:

NONI: Noni is another type of fruit-berry. Like the other superfoods, it is also packed with high levels of antioxidant properties Noni berries are known for its impact in lessening the triggering effects of digestive and circulatory system ailments and other chronic disorders as well.

MANGOSTEEN: Mangosteen is probably the most common of all the superfoods listed. Mangosteen came from a tropical evergreen tree. It is rich with phytonutrients and other antioxidant properties as well. Mangosteen also has several medicinal effects.

POMEGRANATE : A small shrub found throughout the Himalayan region, the pomegranate produces fruit that is packed with vitamin C, antioxidant-rich polyphenols, potassium and folic acid. Using this superfood is a commendable practice for enhancing overall health.

ACAI: This is a tropical fruits that traces its roots back to South and Central America. These are fruits, in the form of berries, which are packed with fatty acids and fiber the very essence of what makes up a healthy choice of food additives. The regular and frequent consumption of these berries can lead to the reduction of inflammation, the promotion of a more controlled cholesterol level, and of course, a better sense of well-being

GOJI: Another type of superfood that has reached the top is the goji berry. The goji berry has been traditionally used by the Chinese as a form of herbal medicine. Goji berries are said to be loaded with essential nutrients that are vital for the body's growth and immunity. Goji berries are particularly an asset in maintaining the stress levels at a minimum level.
