Eating is probably what all of us enjoys so much of doing. Not only because of the satisfaction such flavors deliver to our tongue but also for energy supply as well. But not all foods are good for the health. There are those that are laden with too much sugar and fats that are deemed harmful to our health by causing damage to our system.

Choosing the right food may come as a burden for those who have no more time to spare because of the busy working schedules and other preoccupations that they have. The most usual variety they have for foods are those often served on fast foods joints and vending machines. Consuming foods that are only enough to suppress hunger but with no nutritional value.

Another practice that these working people have is to opt for meals that were already pre-packed and would only require minimal oven heating. Some even offers great varieties that are based on our most liked foods. But these food types are laden with too many preservatives and usually laden with carbohydrates. No wonder weight gain is very much inevitable as well as health related dilemmas. We should remember that we eat to nourish ourselves with the proper vitamins and minerals that would provide energy to last throughout the course of the day.

Actually there is a better alternative to eating and it would not even cost as much than what we have been usually accustomed to. Nutritionist and dieticians alike have long recommended this kind of diet, the high fiber diet.

This diet not only provides one with a fuller feeling or satiety but also detoxification and cleansing effects as well. The latter benefits are due to the fact that fiber foods absorbs cholesterol and fats from digestion and eliminates it through bowel movements, this is how it came to be known as nature's broom.

Fiber foods are easier to find among the grocery shelves, they are actually very usual foods that we have accustomed to eat such as fruits and vegetables. In particular, fruits such as bananas, berries, the insides of apples and pears, vegetables such as cabbage, broccoli and cauliflower, root vegetables such as onions, potatoes and sweet potatoes, and the most obvious sources are wheat, rye, oats and brans.
The fiber foods are also divided into two types the soluble and insoluble. The soluble are those that could be broken down during digestion but absorbs water and eliminates it from the body through bowel movement. The latter one refers to those that pass through digestion largely untouched and is also released through bowel movements.

Both types are necessary and very efficient in conducting weight loss through cleansing and detoxification. In this day and age, it is quite important to incorporate such in our daily diet as most of us are too busy to engage in any activities that would aid in a healthier and fitter you. Avoid consuming much on food that are pre-packaged, not only are they expensive but they may also deem harmful for the health on the long run.
