Anxiety is caused many things. Stress caused by job insecurity is one of the triggers of anxiety. The person may be worried about losing a job, not completing a job or having too much work. The stress is severe if the boss or supervisor is too demanding or critical. When we feel that no one appreciates our work, we might start to think that we are doing something wrong or we may take it as a sign that our days are numbered. We constantly worry over unfounded assumptions, which eventually lead to panic attacks. We will discuss five techniques for Anxiety treatment.

Individuals may prevent anxiety and panic attacks by diagnosing the cause. Sometimes, we are so pre-occupied in our thoughts and we do not know the cause of our anxiety. Confusion is one of the symptoms of anxiety. A person suffering from anxiety has a short attention span. Decreased performance and lack of interest in usual activities are some of the symptoms.

The best way of treating anxiety is taking control. It is also important to identify treatment that suits you. What works for one person may not work for the other person. Many types of anxiety treatments are available from various specialists. These include psychological treatments, herbal treatments, diet treatments, medical treatments and exercise treatments. People who are affiliated to a certain religion will also find help from religious counsel e. G. Scripture, prayer and pastors.

Medical treatment for anxiety includes use of medication that relieves stress. There are many types of pharmacy drugs that can heal anxiety. The treatment of stress with drugs is founded from the biological causes of anxiety. The biological philosophy on the cause of stress states that stress/anxiety is caused by chemical imbalances in the brain. Hormones and the biological reactions to stress are of importance to physicians. Another theory in connection with the physical cause of stress is that anxiety may be hereditary. Meaning that if your grandparents had symptoms of stress and panic attacks, they are more likely to be passed on to you through genes. Physicians use anxiety-suppressing drugs called anti-depressants. These are prescribed by a qualified physician or psychiatrist.

Herbal treatment is the second method of treating anxiety. This method has been used by Eastern cultures for many centuries. The advantage of herbal treatment is that it does not have side effects. Natural herbs are known to be a healthy alternative to drugs. The body responds well to natural herbs, and the benefits are long lasting. Herbs are not only effective in treating anxiety, but they treat other ailments as well, while improving the functions of many organs.

Exercise has wonderful effects. Actually, if stress is building up in your mind, it can be released through exercise. Anxiety is a form of energy. During the build up of anxiety, a lot of energy is used, this energy can be channelled in other areas. There is exercise for relaxing the mind, and exercise for keeping in good body shape. Relaxation exercise includes QiGong, Taiji and Yoga. Many clubs offer Yoga classes. Just browse through your local directory. Yoga comes in many varieties. The lessons include simple techniques and advanced techniques for mind relaxation. The first step is learning to control your mind through belief systems. Advanced techniques involve learning a variety of postures that are designed to relax the body and mind. A Yoga expert conducts the lessons. Yoga classes are typically small, ranging from groups of six to twelve people. Yoga is an Indian relaxation technique, but it is getting popular in the western world.

Normal physical exercise is popular in the western world. Physical exercise is used by sportsmen to warm up before the actual sport. Warm up exercises can be used by people who do not engage in sports. Although the main aim of physical exercise is to improve muscle coordination, there are side benefits as well. Going to the gym everyday and exercising puts you in a different state of mind. As soon as you start exercising, you will forget about your problems. The energy is channelled towards away from negative thoughts towards the exercise routine.

A person suffering from a panic attack can consult a psychologist. Psychologists use psychoanalytic therapy to treat anxiety. Psychoanalytic therapy is very powerful because it deals with the mind. The assumption is that anxiety is caused by maladaptive thought patterns. Certain thought patterns can trigger anxiety, therefore the emphasis is on changing erratic thoughts. Psychoanayltic therapy can be used in conjunction with drugs. One of the wide used therapies is Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. There are many types of psychoanalytic treatments that can be used for curing anxiety. Each therapy is based on the causal theory behind anxiety. There are many psychological theories about the cause of anxiety. If one therapy does not work, the psychologist can apply another therapy or the patient can be referred to another specialist.
