Your hardwork done in your efforts to remove the stored uric acid in your body will of course be undone unless you strictly stay away from foods which contain this unwanted chemical. These include tea, coffee, fried foods, meat, fish and eggs. All processed and canned foods also have to be avoided to recover from gout. Those foods which are high in carbohydrates and fat should likewise be stayed clear of.
