Acne skin care does not have to be difficult. Pimples can be caused by many different factors. Did you know that over washing your face can make your skin even worse? And using too many different skin care products can do the same thing.
Pick one line of pimple products and stick to it. When you use too many different skin care lines at the same time, the ingredients may actually interact badly and cause your skin to get even oiler. So pick one hypo allergenic product line and test it out. Give it a chance and use it for at least a week or two. See if you notice a difference in your skin tone or feel. Also consider using a product that is specifically designed for acne prone skin.
Use a toner to calm your skin down after cleansing. Also use a skin care line that is actually for oily or t zone prone skin. The beauty industry has spent billions of dollars researching which ingredients are right for your skin type so stop trying to second guess them.
Also use a facial mask once a week to help heal your skin and take down any inflammation. Again look for a facial product that is meant for your skin type. If you don't want to spend extra money on a facial mask try grinding some apples and honey together and apply them to your skin. Leave on for twenty minutes. This is a good mask for oily skin. Whichever mask you use, test it on a small portion of your skin to start. Make sure that you don't have a sensitivity to it before applying it to the rest of your face.
What you put in your body is also a big factor in how your skin looks. You must drink plenty of water to flush out impurities. Filtered water is preferable. Avoid greasy or fried foods, as well. And eat as many raw fruits and vegetables as possible.
Never pick at your pimples. This will only lead to scarring which is even worse than having the acne to begin with.
Hire a good dermatologist and see him or her periodically so that they are aware of your progress, what is working and what isn't. Also go to him if you develop those underground acne bumps. He can inject them and help reduce the inflammation. There is no need to deal with not only having acne but being in pain.
There are so many wonderful acne skin care product lines out there now. Ask your dermatologist which one is right for you.
