The treadmill has endured through the years despite the emergence of other relatively newer designs of cardio workout machines. There are people who are addicted to this machine perhaps because of the quality workout it provides. It not only helps burn fat but also aids in the development of a sound and healthy body. Working out on the treadmill has always been recommended by medical experts and trainers for cardiovascular conditioning and weight loss.

Perhaps the best thing about the treadmill is that it allows users to workout at their own pace. People basically hop on the treadmill to burn calories because the machine allows them to do that efficiently. In fact hundreds if not thousands of people have achieved long lasting weight loss results and better health by using this equipment.

Another great thing about the treadmill is that anyone can use it. Both young and old can enjoy the benefits of a treadmill workout.

For maximum weight loss results, one should follow a workout program. It should include details about the schedule, duration and intensity of the routine based on one's level of fitness and target weight. In addition, one should also eat a healthy and balanced diet.

A weight loss workout on the treadmill would require jogging for a specified time although the ideal is 45 minutes per session. This should be done at least 5-6 days a week. Religiously following this workout routine would definitely create significant weight loss results.

Beginners can first start at a slow pace, gradually increasing their speed and workout duration as their fitness level improves. A faster pace would mean a higher intensity workout with more calories burned. Regular use of the treadmill will also increase the body's metabolism if continued even after one has achieved his or her target weight.

The correct treadmill workout form involves maintaining a good body posture with the head up, neck relaxed and arms naturally swinging back and forth. The arm movements in particular, increase the body's metabolism. In order to develop proper breathing, one should keep the abdominals tight. The right way to breathe while jogging is important to learn as this prevents one from experiencing pain on the side of the stomach known as side-stitch. Listening to music or watching a favorite show on television while on the treadmill allows one to enjoy the workout.

Many weight loss and weight loss management programs require that treadmill use be incorporated into one's daily lifestyle. It helps in conditioning the body preparing it for more complex workouts. Because of the nature of the workout, people oftentimes begin to complain about the monotony and boredom they experience thus sometimes it is advisable to have days off from treadmill sessions.

Based on what has been discussed here, it is now easy to understand why the use of a treadmill is not simply limited to weigh loss but for the development of a sound and fit body as well. Aside from all the benefits it offers, working out on the treadmill makes losing weight simple, fun and easy.
