It is quite important to have a good supply of raw foods in our body to ensure that we are nourished of beneficial vitamins and minerals the natural way. And one way to support this is to opt for vegetable juice.

We are quite familiar how vegetables are composed of the much needed nutrients that can enhance one's health and immunity from diseases. Juicing vegetables have been proven to be ahead with those of fruits because the latter can cause an increase on the level of insulin in the body. Vegetable juice on the other hand does not cause this except for carrot and beet which can produce similar results in function with that of fruit juice's.

Our digestive system takes too much "beatings" so to speak with our poor eating choices and habits. And because of this, our system is unable to absorb the nutrients present among vegetables and fruits that we eat. By means of juicing up vegetables it actually speeds up the healing process of the digestive tract compared with the normal way of eating vegetables.
Vegetables and fruits are some of the best sources of fiber. And most people nowadays are aware of how beneficial fiber is in one's diet. It helps in keeping the blood cholesterol to a low level, healthier bowel movements and elimination of toxins from the digestive system. Fiber sources are known to aid in cleansing and detoxification.

The pulp in formed on the vegetable juice are also ideal for consumption. It eases bowel movements and serves as fertilizer for the good bacteria found in the colon area. Some vegetables that are ideal for juicing includes celery, fennel and cucumbers. This can be juiced out separately or combined and had been highly recommended for dieters who are novice to this practice.

As vegetable juicing becomes a habit and incorporated in one's lifestyle they can start juicing up the green leafy ones but it may not be as tasty with the first selections of vegetables but green veggies are considered to be more nutritious.

You can experiment on the veggies of your likings but here are some leafy vegetables that are ideal for juicing up: red leaf juice, different kinds of lettuce (green leaf, romaine and escarole), spinach, kale and cabbage. It has been noted that cabbage juice is very beneficial for people with ulcer. Cabbage provides a great source of vitamin U which is considered as a great aid for curing ulcer.

As mentioned veggie juice may not be as palatable then juicing up fresh fruits. To flavor up, one can squeeze in some sweet tasting fruits such as grapes and apples. Some people who have tried this have even convinced children to have a taste of this veggie juice.

Another thing one should practice when it comes to veggie juicing is not to do too much repetition of the veggie selection. Try altering the mixes everyday so as to avoid building allergies to them from frequent consumption.
