Workout Tips for the Lazy Bones

There are many ways to lose weight but admittedly, a weight loss regimen would be lost without exercise. Exercise is an important physical activity. Without resorting to these methods, we might not be able to target the weight loss goals that we have set for ourselves. For these reasons and more, exercise is thus seen as an important regimen that can speed up weight loss pursuits while also making healthier and giving a better shot at wellness as well. The problem with exercise is that not many people have the time for it. Or, the problem could also be that the individuals are too lazy to take exercise seriously. For those people who have this dilemma, here is what we prescribe to get you guys on the move:

1. Start your physical activity or warm up and the rest will just follow. Breaking inertia is not the easiest thing to do but once you've done it, the hardest part is over. Just do something then you're started, all it takes is one positive step, no matter how small. It can be one healthy meal, a few stretches, a short walk, then tell yourself that you're over the hump and you're on your way.

2. Get used to the routine that you have started and do your best to stick to it. So you made it through day one. Whatever positive step you did, do it for a minimum of three consecutive days. The three-day repetition will give you back your confidence and you will feel that you're back in control. Keep this concept in mind and it will help you regain interest and become motivated over and over again. Don't worry too much if it isn't the most challenging action, your purpose is simply to get back into the groove. You can resume your power workout in time.

3. Do your exercise routines even if it will just be for a few minutes. A few minutes' exercise a day can do the trick. Make a deal with yourself beforehand that you only have to do 10 minutes and after that you can stop, then do it without giving yourself a chance to reconsider. Though the workout may not be the full blown high intensity kind you are used to, it is enough to keep you from slipping back to inactivity. Consider this approach as a tool to help you get through those low energy, low motivation days. There will be days when you'll just feel so relieved that the 10 minutes are over, but there will also be times when you would feel so fired up, there's no stopping you. Either way, you win!

4. Find new routines and do some variations on your exercise regimen so that you don't get too bored with it. Do not wait to feel motivated, be proactive and learn to motivate yourself. Try to find out what it is that inspires you to take action, invent new tricks, create fresh ideas. One person I know puts on an exercise video or watches one over the internet when she feels too lazy to workout, but once the music gets going it's easier for her to join in. Whenever those days hit you, just reach for this list and rev back up.
