Who are prone to eczema

You may commonly find eczema among children and infants but it can also affect people of all ages. If you have suffered from eczema in your childhood years, it may also recur later in life, although it can also occur to adults as well. Your genes can be a big factor if you have been suffering eczema for years and your parents did have the same condition when they were younger. Aside from the hereditary factor, harsh substances and chemicals that you use for your skin can also trigger the occurrence of eczema. Soaps, detergents and household cleansers are often the culprit of this skin problem.

Fabrics can also irritate the skin and may lead to eczema. It can also be aggravated by exposure to very cold or hot and humid temperatures, exposure to pollution, dust or animal. Too much sweating can also irritate your skin and can make it itchy. For some, stress can also lead to flare-ups of eczema. Diet and food is also another factor that can cause flare-ups for some people.

Protect your hands and skin from harsh household chemicals as well. Minimize exposure to dust too if it is your trigger.

Also wear clothing with cotton fabrics to get rid of skin itching and irritation. Don't forget to moisturize your skin also to help you get away with dry skin that is prone to skin problems like eczema.
