According to statistics, about 1-2% of the world's population right at this very moment, suffer from this clinical condition, also known as hyperhidrosis. Doctors in fact, regard it as an inherited condition.

And I know how it feels like to live from day to day with parts of my body sweating beyond what it actually needs. That's why any hope on a cure to excessive sweating is great news to virtually anyone who has had it for quite a long time.

So sweating is a common occurrence in our bodies. We sweat when we perform tough physical activities. And hey, perspiration is just the body's normal reaction to conditions such as over-exertion, heat and stress just to name a few.

It's standard protocol for your body and mine to perspire due to the fact that it needs to cool down. But asides from that, you're obviously intelligent enough to know that it's also a way to excrete wastes from our bodies. And this is where the big problem occurs - if you're prone to excessive sweating. Your body tends to excrete sweat in some areas and in higher quantities than the usual.

And I'm sure you know that the main concern with your body's excessive sweating is that you don't have any control over it! This mechanism entirely belongs to the functions of the sympathetic nervous system - a self-governing part of your nervous system. Compare it to things such as blood pressure, anxiety levels and heart rate and you'll get a clearer picture. Your brain gets to indicate how fast or slow your heart should go. In like manner, it also tells you body if it should sweat and how much of it to produce.

Because of these facts, you very well know how much excessive sweating can affect your everyday life. From personal confidence, social relationships, to emotional levels - simply too much sweat can make anyone go crazy and depressed at the same time!

That's why it's good news to know that there are now ways to know how to stop excessive sweating. Hyperhidrosis is very much now a treatable disease, with all the many options available. The secret is simply a matter of looking for and using the best solution in your particular problem. So while the causes and symptoms of excessive sweating are still being closely investigated, it's not much of a pain knowing that every patient can find a way to get back at living a normal and carefree life.
