Have you ever watched TV and seen Beyonce? You know who I'm talking about, Beyonce Knowles, the former lead singer for Destiny's Child, the goddess who every boy dreams about and the one who smoked up the screen in Austin Powers: Goldmember? Yeah, that one. You know Beyonce's flat stomach? Well it turns out that she's not a naturally occurring female goddess.
What am I talking about you ask? Well the reality is that Beyonce is like so many of us who are overweight. You see, there are two basic types of genomes when it comes to weight (when I say Genomes, I mean stuff that you are "programmed" with from birth). It seems that in times not too long ago, being fat was actually considered sexy.
If you had a fat wife, then you were someone who was really wealthy, because only the uber rich people were able to eat enough for that. In fact, if you watch Fiddler on the roof, Tevye talks about wanting a wife with a "proper double chin" when he sings his song, "If I Were a Rich Man." The reality was, people would be likely to starve to death and those who could store weight were the ones who could survive the harsh times our species lived in.
So what does this have to do with Beyonce's flat stomach you ask? I'm glad you asked that question. You see, around 100 years ago or so, things started to change and food became very, very cheap and easy to make.
It used to be the fancy "stone ground" bread you buy in a supermarket for insane prices was the stuff that poor people ate and it was only someone super wealthy who could afford the luxury of plain white Wonder bread.
But when machines started making stuff, it suddenly became cheap to make the highly processed foods and all us ordinary people who had a genetic predisposition for storing fat started taking it on in droves. And Beyonce is apparently no exception. Her genome makes her fat and the only way she maintains that amazing body is through strict exercise and diet.
So how can you get a body with like Beyonce's? Flat stomachs are not exactly shipped into the supermarkets are they? Well, Beyonce works out like crazy and it shows. She spends hours in the gym every single day working out and she eats very lightly. It's not easy, but it does give inspiration to all of us to know that if Beyonce can do it, so can we.
