When I was in high school, one of our friend's parents invested in a spa. They were a popular family anyway, but after they bought their spa, everyone found reasons to visit their home. We would even go there when the children we were friends with weren't home just for a chance to sit in their spa. After a game or a workout at the gym, the spa felt like heaven to our sore muscles.
There's was an enclosed model, so it didn't matter what type of weather we were having or what season it was; the spa was always a good place to go. Not only that, but they had an open-door policy on their refrigerator, which meant that any excuse to go to their house was a good one.
That was quite a while ago, and spa technology has come a long way. Studies have shown that the health benefits of having a spa go a lot further than just relaxing fatigued muscles. A study published in the New England Journal of Medicine showed that people with Type-II diabetes who soaked in a spa on a regular basis demonstrated a marked reduction in blood sugar levels, slept better, and had an overall improved sense of wellness. According to the Arthritis Foundation, the heat and buoyancy provided by a spa are very helpful in providing relief for stiffness and arthritis pain.
The support provided by the water in the tub eases the stress of joints and muscles, allowing for less-restricted movement. What better reason to buy a spa in Tyler or Longview, Texas than to provide for your own medical well-being?
Now we have a home of our own, and I've really been thinking about buying a spa. Our summers are pretty hot and our evenings can get pretty cool in the winter, so having a nice, climate-controlled indoor spa sounds just right. Maybe something exotic, like one of those Asian bath houses. I don't really need an excuse. I'm just lining up my good reasons before discussing a purchase with my wife. I'm sure it won't take much to convince her that a spa is the right thing for our family.
I have the perfect spot for it, just off of the master bedroom in the back yard, and since my children are still young, I don't have to worry about a gang of roving teenagers showing up at all hours of the night to sit in my spa and eat my food.
