Laser eye surgery can improve eyesight to around 20/20 vision so that patients no longer need to wear their contacts or glasses. It is able to treat short sightedness, long sightedness and astigmatisms. However it is unsuitable for people with high degrees of short sight and long sight, or for people with large pupils and eye diseases.
