The most sorts after aspect in bodybuilding is body mass. It does not matter how well your body symmetry is or how well toned your body is, if you are lacking in body mass then you will not be able to compete as a professional bodybuilder. Many people struggle to gain body mass without success because the strategy they are using is not suitable for a person seeking to increase body mass. There are very many articles which suggest the use of steroids in order to gain mass. This is not a safe strategy because steroids come with various side effects such as enlargement of the clitoris, shrinking testicles, low libido, low sperm count, impotence in men, loss of hair, growth of facial hair in women, coarse voice in women, irregularity in there menstrual cycle, increase in aggression, heart problems, liver conditions, kidney problems and sleeping disorders.

If you want to increase your body mass in a safe manner then you need to follow the tips below;

If you want to gain mass you need to strength train using proper techniques. If you want to completely transform your body and develop well developed full grown muscles then you need to concentrate on the quality of your training and not the hours spend training. You should make sure that even if you train for only two days in a week, those two days count a lot. Make sure you use all the appropriate techniques such as compound movements and resistance training. For you to become massive you should use very heavy weights with little repetition.

The other tip is that you need to take a lot of calories in your diet. You need to take plenty of calories in your diet because they are needed in order to add mass. Calories are the chief source of energy for the body and facilitate intense training. There are various rich sources of calories which include; carbohydrates, proteins and healthy fat. Proteins are the building blocks of muscles. Carbohydrates contain glycogen which is very useful in muscle development.

You also need to take supplements to increase your body mass. The first mistake you should avoid is thinking that supplements can act as perfect substitutes of a sound nutritional plan. They should only be used to supplement an already existing good nutrition. Many people assume that it is possible to get all the nutrients we need from food. This is however not possible especially when we are not eating organic foods. A lot of foods nowadays are processed and this usually reduces the nutrient levels of the food. You need to know that some nutrients are more necessary than others and therefore you need to increase there percentage in the body. Therefore in order to obtain these nutrients you need to include supplements in your diet.

If you want to learn about the most important facets in bodybuilding they are training and nutrition. Once you completely take care of all these facets then you will be on your way to increasing your body mass.
