Anybody who is already suffering from acne knows the upset that the appearance of unsightly blackheads on your nose and cheeks can cause. That is exactly why it is so important to know how to get rid of these ugly little pimples in a quick, but gentle and effective manner.

First rule is never to squeeze blackheads. It looks like an easy way to get rid of them, but it is not. Many acne suffers tend to squeeze their pimples only to find that it makes them worse. Do not do that with blackheads either, because it will only make the problem worse and spread infection. You need to find a gentle and non-scarring way to remove your blackheads.

Some believe that vigorous scrubbing of the nose will get rid of blackheads. That is also not true. Such a harsh treatment of your skin will only harm it and even though it will temporarily create the impression that your blackheads have cleared out, they will only be back. The only long-term, sustainable solution is to make sure in the first place that your kidneys and liver are clean. You can do this by drinking a lot of water.

Blackheads are caused with dust and dirt particles trap oil secreted by the sebaceous glands. This blocks the pores and causes those unsightly blackheads on your nose. By doing plenty of exercise you can keep your pores open which will result in lesser chances for dust and grime to block them.

An effective home remedy to try on nose blackheads is to use a paste of baking soda and water on the affected area. Wait till the paste has dried and then wash it off with lukewarm water. Follow this up by splashing your skin with icy cold water to close the pores.

Another home remedy to try will be to rub a banana peel over nose blackheads. This is a natural way to clean the skin other than using cotton balls or medicated cleansing pads.

Commercial blackhead removal strips have also proven to be useful. These strips are applied over nose blackheads and the peeled off. The blackheads are pulled out of the skin by the strip. The strips also remove excess oil from the pores and are an excellent way to remove those stubborn nose blackheads.

Steam is another way to get rid of blackheads. All you need is a hot wet wash cloth to place on your face for 15 minutes. This helps to soften the skin so that the blackhead can actually be removed with a cotton ball and gentle cleanser.

Some people no matter what they try just don't have any success are getting rid of their nose blackheads. In this case consulting with a dermatologist is the best option as they can help you with a remedy for the removal of nose blackheads.
