So, you want to get into medical school huh? You have gone through college and all that premed stuff and are now ready to show them what you have. One thing they are going to ask you is how you use your gifts to benefit others. You should be doing this someway whether it is volunteering to work or by simply giving some time to the nursing home. You do not even have to be really practicing your medical skills. It could be working at a food bank. They want to see you active in helping others.
Besides the medicine that you are wishing to practice and the schooling you do what else do you do? Were you in a fraternity? Do you sing in the church choir? By saying that you are involved with other things you show them that you do have a life. Show them what you are capable of and show them that you can multitask. This also shows them that you have a life and can just rest as well. You can leave work at work.
You want this to sound as personal as you can make it. Besides your GPA they are going to be looking at a whole bunch of other things. You need to be ready to amuse them and have them fall in love with you as it is hard getting in. When you do this, you up your chances. Then you will be sure to have it.
Last, you need to show what your dreams and ambitions are. Keep it real. They want to see what you hope to accomplish for when you graduate with a masters from their university they like to show people who are thinking about going there what their students become. They want you to have a plan and to know what that plan is. When you have a plan you have something to strive for.
When you do this, you can go far. They see the drive in you. They want to welcome you in as you will show a nation that you graduated from there and you will make them proud. Whatever they hand you, you will be ready for. It is all about selling yourself to people who have been there and done that.
