Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) is a clever name for poor circulation via anemic blood or clogged arteries both of which are caused by poor diet and cured by proper diet (includes herbs), not by the best pharmaceuticals, doctors, insurance companies, retirement plans, nursing homes, etc.
Peripheral Artery Disease is more or less arthritis, whether you call it Rheumatoid Arthritis, Restless Leg Syndrome, Peripheral Artery Disease, etc.
Arthritis is a generic term for inflammation of the joint, bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles, nerves, etc. producing pain, inflammation, swelling, redness, etc. especially when resting, sitting or lying, with arms or legs crossed or raised, elevated.
The joint, spaces between the movable bones is composed of fluid sacs, as well as cartilage (gelatinous substance that caps the end of the bones). Both act as shock absorbers. Ligaments hold bones together. Tendons attach muscles to ligaments. Muscles contract and expand via nerve, electrical stimulation, which in turn pulls and relaxes the tendons, ligaments, moving the bones. Blood, nutrients build, fuel and moisten all tissues.
The body digests food and transforms nutrients into blood, structure and function, into health or disease. Blood, nutrients build, fuel and cleanse the organs, muscles, tendons, ligaments, bones, etc.
Too little protein and fat (thick nutrients) tends to thin and weaken the blood, circulation, especially to the extremities. In the extreme, thin, less blood dries, thins, inflames, weakens etc. the bones, ligaments, tendons, muscles, nerves, etc. producing pain, inflammation, swelling, redness, etc.
Many women tend to eat anemic, low protein, low-fat (milk, yogurt, soft cheeses, beans, nuts and seeds) and high carbohydrate (pasta, bread, salads, tropical fruits, juices, etc.) diets, which in turn, thin, dry, inflame, weaken and pain everything else, especially the bones, muscles, tendons, etc in the arms, legs, hands, feet.
Too many cold and damp foods, drinks (milk, yogurt, salads, fruit, juices, cold drinks, etc.), in excess and or at the beginning of a meal, tend to dilute, weaken and slow digestion (acid, enzymes, abdominal bloating, gas) reducing nutrient absorption, blood, circulation, energy, while increasing waste product.
Too much protein and fat tends to thicken the blood, which in turn, thickens, clogs and weakens the liver. All blood passes in and out the liver. The liver stores, cleanses (filters, removes excess protein, fat, cholesterol, impurities, etc.) and releases the blood. High protein and high fat (especially animal, fried) diets in excess tend to thicken the blood, which in turn, thickens, clogs, swells and weakens the liver. Less cholesterol, fat, impurities, etc. are removed, cleansed, more stays in the blood (high cholesterol, clots, uric acid), thickening, clogging, narrowing and hardening the arteries (plaque, arteriosclerosis, atherosclerosis, high blood pressure), reducing overall circulation, supply of blood and energy especially to the extremities: head, arms, legs, hands, feet, joints, bones, muscles, etc. causing swelling, pain, inflammation, etc. Less blood builds, fuels, moves, cools and moistens less. Dry tissues inflame
Many men tend to eat high protein, high fat (red meat, pork, veal, turkey, chicken, lasagna, pizza, fried foods, etc.), high starch (bread, pastries, etc.) and low vegetables, fruit and tend to suffer Peripheral Artery Disease, Restless leg Syndrome, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Gout, insomnia, acne, poor circulation, etc.
Dietary cures blood deficiency (anemia) and stagnation (high cholesterol, clots, atherosclerosis, tumors, cancer) are relatively simple. The hotter middle diet, meal plan (more protein, fat, eggs, chicken, turkey, hard cheese, cooked foods, soups, vegetables and spices) is recommended for blood deficiency. Spices (cardamom, cumin, coriander, fennel, ginger, cayenne, etc.) are hot, thinning. They increase digestion, improve circulation, etc.
The colder middle diet, meal plan is recommended for blood stagnation (clogged arteries, veins, liver, high protein, high fat). Reduce animal protein and fat, less than one animal food (chicken or turkey is permissible) per day and never at night. Eat more cheese, beans, nuts, seeds, grains, vegetables (cabbage) fruit (apples), peppermint tea, bitter herbs (golden seal, gentian, etc.). Eat less, skip, space the meals (gives the body extra time, energy to digest excess) and do not eat late. Avoid alcohol and the nightshades (tomatoes, potatoes, eggplant) which tend to aggravate, worsen arthritic conditions.
Hot salves (containing spices, camphor, capsicum/ cayenne pepper, etc.) used externally for reducing pain are also effective, especially when skin is wrapped, covered with plastic (contains, drives heat down, into the skin, muscles). Heat not only dries and warms but also moves. Spices, cooked foods move and warm the blood, and reduce pain via increased circulation, blood. They also help to thin the blood. Cumin, coriander and fennel are mild spices.
Medication, blood thinners can also cause arthritic symptoms. Blood thinners not only thin the blood of excess protein and fat (includes cholesterol), but also thin the bones, skin, hair, etc. which are all fed, thickened by the same blood, protein and fat. When you thin the blood, decrease protein and fat, you thin everything else.
Education, not clever remedies cures disease.
