It increases your confidence and self-esteem, reprograms negative thoughts, eliminates the feeling of isolation and helps reduce your sensitivity to certain situations that may trigger blushing. This technique also reduces the fear of blushing and cuts this vicious cycle which eventually stop facial blushing.

Aside from hypnosis, cognitive behavioral therapy is also another technique that is used to stop facial blushing. This technique may use different approaches towards solving this problem. In anxiety disorders for example, which is a common cause of blushing, cognitive behavioral therapy helps you overcome it by gradually exposing you to the situations that cause you fear.
