A balanced diet is probably the best option for you. Compare it with other diet plans; how do the results differ? Have you seen what others are saying about each diet plan? What do the testimonials say? Sure, you are going to get varied feedbacks. And there will surely be a good number of proponents for each diet plan. So which one should you really go for? Read on to see which can be a better diet for you.

A Balanced Diet Versus The Rest

Comparison No.1: As compared to a high carbohydrate diet. A high carbohydrate diet means you are consuming mainly carbohydrates, minimizing or eliminating protein and fat in the diet. Is this good? This is not good at all. The best this gives you are spurts of energy. You may also enjoy a good number of nutrients since fruits and vegetables fall into this category. But with these alone, you can't tone or build muscles. Remember, you need protein to build muscles. There are also many uses for protein and for good fats that your body needs as well. With a high carbohydrate diet, you are missing on a lot of good things from the other food groups. With a balanced diet, however, you get all the nutrients you need that each food group can offer.

Comparison No.2: As compared to a high protein diet. A high protein diet, though beneficial for building muscles, also has its own disadvantages. There have been studies that show damage to liver and kidney with a high protein diet. With such a diet as well, you sometimes feel lousy especially in the afternoon; this is due to the lack of carbohydrates or very low sugar in your diet. Studies have shown that if one should use a high protein diet, they should only do so for 2 weeks. Afterwards, they should move to a better diet plan. The high protein diet has been considered risky for one's health-so one must be careful with this diet plan. Here we are able to see again how a balanced diet plan becomes a better option. There are no health risks involved and you only get the appropriate amounts for each food group.

Comparison No.3: As compared to a high fat diet. A high fat diet has been known to increase bad cholesterol levels that pose a danger to one's health. This diet plan is also associated with obesity and heart diseases. Though fats also play an important part in the body's physiological function, they should be taken in only in moderate amounts; take in enough of good fats as omega 3 and omega 6 for healthy hair and nails. These good fats are also considered good for the heart. Again, with a balanced diet, you get these good fats or essential fatty acids with less of its bad side.

The comparisons here should give you a better idea which diet plan is best for your case. There are pros and cons for each-but there is one that definitely stands out from the rest, giving you the optimal health you can get. A balanced diet can help you get the level of health that you need and the body that you deserve.
