I have plans to visit a chiropractor soon. I attended a job fair at a business in American Fork, and they had a local chiropractor there to do some measurements and explain some adjustment techniques. I was impressed with what I saw, and so I am seriously considering visiting an American Fork chiropractor for a more thorough explanation and some long term treatment.
I have had some chronic back problems that I am sure chiropractic care will help relieve. Case in point, my back started to go out the other day, and remembering something I learned, I used my friend's inverter table. Basically, I hung myself upside down for a few minutes. It didn't take long, but something that I know from past experience would have turned into some major pain and restriction of movement went away after being upside down for a while. No pain killers, no muscle relaxers that make me useless for the whole day, just some good old fashioned basic chiropractic care, and I was as right as rain.
Where I have seen chiropractic care have its biggest benefit in my family was not too long after our first son was born. My wife was complaining of pain and stiffness in her back and hips, and so she decided to schedule a visit with a local chiropractor. Her adjustment was relatively simple; she sat down with the chiropractor and explained what she was experiencing, they did some measuring, and then the actual work of the adjustment.
It looked and sounded really painful, as the stress of pregnancy seems to have lodged some bones into some odd spots, but when she was done, she was standing straighter and said that her pain was mostly alleviated. After a couple of days, the pain seemed to be gone altogether, and she was a lot happier than she had been in months.
I firmly believe that chiropractic care can be of great benefit to people who are suffering from chronic pain due to structural irregularities, and that early chiropractic care can not only be corrective, but preventative as well. My concern is that if I do not get corrective help, I could end up with problems that aren't so easily corrected. I want to do what I can now while I am still fit and young to make sure my old age isn't beleaguered with pain, pain killers, and immobility.
