The public consciousness may not hold the fact firmly in their grasp, but no matter where one looks, germs can be found. They are not visible to the naked eye, but that does not bring down the threat of illness that is always present. Keeping this in mind, it is quite impractical to believe that access to soap and water will always be available, or that a certain area in a dwelling can be kept spotless around the clock. In that case, anybody wishing to maintain their health and wellness will need to invest in some hand sanitizer.

Purses or bags are an ideal place to keep it. There are many things that one may encounter during the course of the day, particularly if children are involved. Children do not realize that they need to use caution after touching dirty objects or cover their faces when sneezing or coughing, and germs may find an easy route from place to place as a result. Public buildings or bathrooms which experience heavy traffic on a daily basis are also danger zones, so a bottle or container of the special cleaner should always be at the ready.

The workplace is also a wonderful spot to have some at hand. A person who works at a bank will be handling a lot of soiled money, and come in close contact with others who may not have the best hygiene. Somebody who spends their working hours at an office will likely have to shake a lot of hands and handle a lot of shared items such as staplers and computer keyboards. A teacher will, of course, probably be at the highest risk because of the number of young students who will spread illnesses to their peers, and they themselves are not immune. In that case, keeping some antibacterial hand sanitizer on a desk or counter should be a priority and necessity.

Doctors and nurses rely on it in some form in order to prevent any mishaps. It would not do for germs located on the operating table to make their way into another ward, and vice versa. Therefore, they will be found in every available area to keep the hospital safe and sanitary for everyone inside.

A microscope may be needed to see germs, but that does not mean that some kind of hand sanitizer dispenser is unnecessary in order to keep the body in good shape. Knowing when and where to use it, especially if soap and water is not within reasonable distance, can mean the difference between seeing the world and staying in bed.
