Full breasts can accent a curvaceous and feminine physique which is why so many women are interested in breast enlargement. The most common way to achieve larger breasts is through the surgical route which is called breast augmentation but there are also natural ways that may help.

Breast augmentation is a surgical procedure performed by a plastic surgeon. During the procedure, implants filled with a silicone or saline substance are inserted either directly under the skin or beneath the muscle wall. This method is popular and quite successful, but many women do not want to have elective surgery performed. Here are 5 more natural options to try:

1) Herbal supplements: There are herbal supplements on the market that claim to contribute to an increase in bustline size. The most common herbs are saw palmetto, wild yam, soy, ginseng, blessed thistle, and fenugreek. There is mixed reports on their success. Herbs may be taken in pill form.

2) Gaining weight: If a woman is excessively slender and has very little body fat, this will affect the size of her breasts, as they are made up of glands, skin and fatty tissue. The goal, of course, shouldn't be to become obese, but to add enough body weight so that fatty tissue in the bustline is increased.

3) Fat transfer: One's own body fat (adipose tissue) may be harvested from one area that has excessive deposits, such as the abdomen, and transferred to the breasts. Fat transfer is performed by a physician via liposuction.

The process of liposuction entails inserting a medical wand, called a cannula, into the adipose tissue and suctioning it from the body. The harvested fat would then be processed in order to make it suitable for reintroducing into the body. This is a natural way of achieving an increase in size because it is a substance that was made in one's own body.

4) Exercise: Exercises for the chest area, such as working with weights or resistance bands, can aid in increasing the chest measurement. Breasts are made up of glands, adipose tissue and skin, but there is muscle directly beneath them. If the muscular wall is strengthened and made larger, this can result in the breasts being projected and appearing fuller.

5) Hormonal adjustment: The hormones can be altered by the use of enlargement creams or lotions that have similar ingredients as the herbal supplements. Creams containing saw palmetto, wild yam, soy, ginseng, blessed thistle or fenugreek can alter the hormonal balance which, in turn, can affect breast size. Birth control pills, which change a woman's hormones, as well, also tend to result in increased size.
