Natural Flu Remedies - A Faster Way To Feel Better

Flu is not one of the best things you can have in this world. When you have it, it disturbs your regular activities and prevents you to do important tasks since you would be lying in bed for most of the day feeling weak and aching all over. It is such a good thing that the world operates in two opposite directions which provide balance of things. If it gives us something negative in nature, it will surely give us something that is positive to counteract it. In the case of giving us the flu, just look around you and you will definitely find natural flu remedies to treat it.

Remedies are always present in this planet. It is up to you to find it and use it to your advantage. The following are some of the remedies you can use if you have the flu.

During your illness, make it a point that you will observe whole foods diet to treat it. Avoid all sorts of processed foods since they will only contribute further stress to you body as well as toxins. It does not mean that processed foods do not contain any sort of nutrients but what they do is lead your body to nutritional deficiencies. Your body needs all the nutrition it needs minus the toxins and the stress when fighting off the illness therefore it is very important to avoid processed foods as well as junk foods.

Instead for at least four days to a week, focus on eating a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables. Include whole grains and eat some meat but in limited amount only. Avoid eating bread even if it says its whole grain since it still underwent a lot of processing. Focus on fruits and vegetables that contain high dosage of vitamin C such as organic oranges, steamed broccoli, red pepper, and much more. Add some coconut oil whenever you can to your cooked grains and steamed vegetables since it contains anti-bacterial properties.

When you are sick it is important that you get enough rest to allow your body to do its natural job to fight off the disease. If you continue to do more activities even when you are sick then your body would not be able to focus on getting well and therefore you will end up getting worse. Let your immune system take care of you by taking the rest of the day off from work and make it a point to have a nap at least twice a day. If you can rest better listening to classical music, then do so but leave all electronic devices such as your computer and your television turned off since it may stimulate your senses much that you won't be able to doze off.

Every time you get hit with the flu virus, try these natural remedies and you will surely feel better sooner than later.
