I can't really think of anyone who has said they look forward to growing older. The Media does not help to make it easier either. Everything on television praises the young and causes us to fear getting older. Aging is something that we must face at every turn in our lives. We see signs of aging at all stages of our life including puberty, pms, menopause, loss of sex drive, loss of hearing and loss of sight.

The exact cause of aging has not been found. Many things happen in the body at the same time which are likely to cause it to occur. Studies have found that people age differently depending on their genetics. As a result, people from different bloodlines will age differently than others. This does not mean that certain bloodlines are superior to others because there are strengths and weaknesses in each of them. For example, one might be less likely to become obese while the next is prone to it.

As time goes on a chemical process occurs in our cells and they slowly oxidize. This is likely one of the major causes of aging. A good analogy would be a cupcakes in the oven. The proteins and glucose in our body 'brown' like the cupcakes and ultimately our genes become damaged.

Many people are so fearful of losing their young looks that they resort to drastic measures to keep their looks. Plastic surgery and HGH (Human Growth Hormone) injections are among the many things that conventional medicine offers to combat aging. Either one of these can have disastrous side effects and are expensive to undertake. You should think long and hard whether it is worth going this route. Make sure you do some research and discuss the risks with your doctor.

I feel that it is better to stick with a homeopathic lifestyle than to go with the harsh alternatives that conventional medicine offers. The most important thing you can do is take care of yourself on a daily basis. Get the right amount of sleep and eat healthy foods. Stay away from cigarettes, drugs and alcohol.

There are also natural medicines that have been proven to help to slow aging. Aspalathus linearis is a tonic that is great for you because it fight's free radicals. Grapeseed extract is also a great natural remedy for helping to slow down the effects of aging. It will help to support the vascular system by reducing the fragility of your capillaries. It also has antioxidant properties like the aspalathus linearis. Try one of these herbs or both of them together. They are a great alternative to plastic surgery or HGH treatment.
