One of the body parts which show an obvious sign that you are gaining unnecessary weight is your stomach. Aside from being an unpleasant site, it is also considered to be the most dangerous type of body fat. It is no surprise then that a lot of persons with extended tummies hit the gym these days since they are well aware that it does not bring anything good for them. The best way to lose this kind of fat is through a combination of smart eating and regular exercise.

There are tips you can follow to help you get rid of your excess weight in a faster and healthier way.

1. At your every meal, make it a point that you are able to eat certain amount of protein. Choose lean protein since this kind of protein aids your body to burn fat by speeding up your metabolism. Aside from that it also aids in stabilizing your blood sugar and insulin levels. Eating foods with lean protein also helps you build more muscle tissues and keep you feeling full longer thereby keeping you away from the refrigerator longer. Examples of lean protein include eggs, lean meat, nuts, seeds, low-fat dairy products, and whey protein powder.

2. You need to eat at least two servings of fresh fruit everyday and a lot of vegetables. Fresh fruits and vegetables are the best sources of carbohydrates you can eat to help you burn more fats and reduce weight. They contain lower amounts of calorie but are loaded with vitamins, minerals, fibre and other nutrients that will aid in maintaining your body's immune system. Raw fruits and vegetables are the best while steamed vegetables will also serve you well. Just take note to avoid dried fruits and fruit juices since they will do you no good.

3. Limit your intake of processed foods such as hot dogs, bacons, French fries and many more. In general these are the kinds of foods that have undergone a lot of processing or touched by humans. Focus more in eating lean meats, raw fruits and vegetables, raw nuts and seeds on a regular basis to achieve a leaner figure faster.

4. Always watch out for sugar since it comes in many forms and oftentimes you will not be able to notice that you already had a large intake of it. To avoid it learn to read the labels of the things that you buy when you do your grocery and avoid anything that contains more than a gram of sugar in it per serving. In other words you also need to avoid your intake of soft drinks from now on as well as juices that contain large amount of sugar or corn syrup.

5. Drink a lot of water every day to curb your appetite and control food cravings. It will also help in speeding up your metabolism and helps your body get rid of toxins.

Combine these tips for eating smart with regular exercise so that you will be able to increase your body's metabolism to let it burn more fats. Follow your exercise and these tips and you will surely be watching your belly fat melt down.
