Although the saying that man is to error has been misused by many as a justification to laziness, it still holds true. Errors of judgment and of behavior occur in almost all scepters of our lives. And it is also true that body builders too also make mistakes. Just because they are strong and muscled doesn't mean they are error free. In fact, mistakes are more common, frequent and pronounced in body building probably than in any other sport. And when they do occur, if they do, there are second chances. A body builder can start all over again after taking a wrong step, he or she can transform after a wrong habit taking root.

If for example a body builder gets hooked on anabolic steroids or abuses supplement products, he or she can still refrain from them and commit to natural body building. If the body builder had started out on a wrong training program, he or she still has a chance to start all over again. If poor attitude attacks the body builder and thereby cause a detriment of motivation and commitment, he or she can back step the perspective from where it started going astray.

If an exercise has been performed for a while and in the wrong way, the moment the body builder learns the correct way of performing the exercise and he or she can start over and initiate gains. After years of stagnating in one plateau, a body builder can still revive progress and make great gains in both muscle mass and strength. After following an inadequate or improper diet program for months, correcting the diet accordingly will reactivate the potential of a body builder. Whatever is the fault, once a body builder learns of it and rectifies it appropriately, progress can be rejuvenated. The body forgives although it never forgets.

Professional body builders concur in the fact that, their rise to the top was prompted from mistakes done and corrected. Professional body builders succeed after a series of mistakes and second chances. You should never fear making a mistake while trying out body building for learning from mistakes makes you better not lesser. Impunity however is not allowed just because second chances are possible. Some mistakes, especially those arising from carelessness, ignorance and disregard to conventions, are rarely forgiven. The body might never forgive you if you clash the knee in a careless lift of the barbell. The body might never forgive you for straining the spine. And even when it does forgive, it will keep reminding you with painful jambs now and then, for it never forgets.

Body building is an adventure and so it must be approached. Mistakes are allowed if they are innocent and if the body builder learns from them. Second chances must be utilized to build on to the already attained success and to reach out to the maximal potential. Second chances are valuable opportunities to be the best that you can ever be.
