Everyone out there has days where they just feel far too overwhelmed with life. Maybe you were up late talking to a friend about their terrible day, and then you had to get up early for work. On the way to work, you spill coffee all over yourself in the car. At work, your boss yells at you for being late you don't get the deal with a client you have been working with forever. You end up having to stay late at work in order to compensate for your tardiness and for your loss of a client, and when you get home, you realize that you left your house key back at work. You are probably going to feel pretty stressed out at this point. Not to worry, however. There are things that you can do for yourself to help you relax and calm that anxiety just a little bit.

Breathe. If you try concentrating on your breathing, then you are going to find that you will be able to calm your mind as well. Take deep breaths that go all throughout your entire body. Continue to breathe like that until your mind feels a little freer. Inhale through your nose, and exhale through your mouth. This constant repetition for minutes at a time will help you feel so much better about yourself.

Tea. Tea is the natural healer of all things. Sometimes all a person needs is just a nice warm cup of tea to calm them. If you are having constant feelings of anxiety and stress, then you really should consider possibly drinking green tea in the morning with breakfast. It has just the right of natural pick-me-ups so that you will be able to feel lively and happy in the morning.

Music. Music is another soothing activity to do while you are stressed out. Although people say that there are types of music that just aren't soothing, they are wrong. You should listen to your very favorite band out there. See if you will feel more relaxed after listening to them. It doesn't matter if they are screamo or rock and roll, all you need to do is find the one that makes you feel the best.

Meditation. This is not what you are thinking of as some hippie thing to do. There are a lot of people out there who meditate in order to feel better about your life. If you just sit there and concentrate on your life for a bit, you will end up feeling a whole lot better.
