From the moment a body builder resolves to start a training program, he or she forms a dream that eventually determines the future success of the body building venture. That dream becomes the driving force that fuels his or her through the challenges of a body building lifestyle, be they in dieting or workout. The dream forms the focus of a body building program. It is the basis on which all decision about training frequency, type of exercises, workout schedules and dieting routines are made.

That dream is laid like a carrot dangling in front of the body builder as he or she goes through the intense workout regimes and strict diet programs. It is the promise that after the hard work and persistence, the body builder will be paid in bonuses. The dream is essentially different among individual body builders but the basis of all dreams is one, muscle mass and strength. Picturing yourself with packed, well defined muscles, biceps that can beguile the heart of a girl from afar, a chest that looms in front of the physique, a six pack abs design showing under the jacket or legs that look very much like pillars of Babel, is having a dream.

Yet dreaming is the easiest part of the deal. Every one of us can dream and there is no limit to how big we can dream. But what makes the difference, what really separates us from the wanna-be's the doing part of the deal. There comes a time after dreaming, when we have to get into the training room and sweat it out, when we have to conquer the urge for junk foods, when we have to push our muscles to the limit, when we have to bear the pain and when we have to pursue the dream. There comes a time when we have to sacrifice and pay the full price of attaining that dream.

Most people give up on their dreams as soon as the doing part becomes demanding. But a selected few build a fortress in consistency, they master the staying power, they keep motivation up and focused, they bear the pain with honor, they walk the talk with grace and eventually they raise the trophy with pride. Only the selected few ever make it to the glory of body building, only a few ever lift the trophy of champions, only a few ever make the dream come true, only a few ever live their dream and those few are the true ambassadors of body building.

Joy flows through every vein of your body when you know that you are living a dream you gave birth to years a go. Satisfaction spreads to every muscle ligament and tissue in your body when you remember the thick and thins through which you nursed that dream. A humbled and grateful heart of a true champion emerges when you realize that your consistent, persistent and sacrificial efforts have paid in bonuses. It makes one cry the tears of a grateful heart, to sweat with pride and to bow with gratitude to yourself and all those who aided you, when you start living your dream. Living the body building dream is starting life all over again, life gains meaning and momentum.
