If there is one thing which has the potential of bringing people together of different social backgrounds it must be sports. For a person to succeed as an athlete they need to train very vigorously so that they can enhance there performance. There are however some athletes who will try to gain an unfair advantage by taking steroids, this however does not come without any consequences. When you take steroids you may get banned from the sport since most sports bodes do not condone the use of steroids by an athlete. The other reason why you need to avoid steroids is because they can lead to various side effects such as; enlargement of the clitoris, shrinking testicles, low libido, low sperm count, impotence in men, loss of hair, growth of facial hair in women, coarse voice in women, irregularity in there menstrual cycle, increase in aggression, heart problems, liver conditions, kidney problems and sleeping disorders. If you want to succeed in bodybuilding and enhance your athletic performance you need to keep off steroids.

There are many sports which require a person to lift weights. One of them is football, for you to succeed in this wonderful sport you need to have a lot of stamina. Football is characterized by a lot of pushing, shoving, and in order to withstand all this you need to be a person of great stamina. For a person to be able to struggle and get the ball they have to poses great strength and endurance. If you try and picture any successful football player such as Drogba, Ronaldinho, and Roony, you will notice that each have a great body physique and that is why they are able to perform so well.

The other sport which goes without saying is rugby. In order to compete in this wonderful sport you need to have great strength and stamina. The importance of strength and stamina in rugby can not be overemphasized. Rugby is the roughest sport ever and is usually reserved for the titans. You will never find a rugby player who is skinny, because mass plays a major role in determining your success.

Wrestling is also another famous sport which requires a person to have body mass. The maneuvers they do inside the ring are very dangerous and you need to be a person of great physical strength and endurance to pull some of those stunts. In fact most of the wrestlers started out as bodybuilders before they found themselves inside the ring. Take for example a wrestler like the Batista who is a famous WWE superstar, for you to be able to develop such a body physique you need to be a serious bodybuilder as well.

These are just some of the sports you need to great strength in order to perform well. There are others which I have failed to mention in detail such as basket ball, base ball, and many others. When you lift weights you are able to increase your body endurance threshold and also your energy level which is vital to enhance your performance as an athlete.
