Tinnitus is a condition where you would experience sudden ringing in your ears. It could be a ringing sound through one of your ears or both ears. There are many people experiencing this kind of condition and though most are not alarming it is still important to have it checked by a doctor to prevent any possibility of it leading to a more serious condition. This kind of ear condition is quite common and some would experience them in just a short while, while other people report that they have experienced it for as long as a couple of days. There are a lot of possible reasons why you could experience tinnitus. The cause of tinnitus is usually being determined only by an experienced physician and determining it is important because the solution would be based on it.

Just like the ear is susceptible to damage from external forces, it is vulnerable to inner forces as well such as your blood pressure. Recent studies indicate that there is somehow a correlation between tinnitus and high blood pressure. The ears consist of many parts and one of its vital parts is filled with fluid. If you have high blood pressure, it will cause your body to apply higher pressure on that part as well which will make you hear ringing sounds.

Though it is still best to consult your doctor, if you feel that your blood pressure is the culprit in making you hear those nasty sounds in you ear, then you should try ways that would lower down your blood pressure. Stimulants like coffee and nicotine can cause your blood pressure to go up therefore cut them down and see if there would be any kind of improvement. You can also apply a different approach such as doing some regular exercise or practice relaxation techniques such as Yoga or meditation.

Another probable reason to the ringing in your ear is the possibility of inner ear damage. Our inner ears contain a lot of structures that are very small and intricate. Because of this they should be well protected at all times which means that you need to take good of them so that they will all function and work well together. You should take note of things that can damage them easily and one of which is loud noise.

In our inner ears, there are small hairs that line it which conveys the sound from the ears to the brain. Excessive noise will cause these tiny hairs to vibrate more than usual and when they can no longer handle it they will begin to break up. Losing more and more of these hairs will cause poor sound transmission resulting to hearing things that are not there.

In any case when you experience this sudden ringing in your ears, you should always visit your doctor to seek advice on the cause of tinnitus. It is only through this that you are certain of the ways you would follow to get rid of it.
