Wrinkles are an inevitable part of the aging process and we all get them, as we grow older. Some people get wrinkles a lot sooner than they should, because of various factors. Although it is not really possible to permanently avoid wrinkles through natural ways it, it is possible to delay them and stay free of wrinkles for a longer period of time. Given below are a few simple tips that can help you to slow down the inevitable formation of the age lines on your face:

* Drink at least 10 to 12 glasses each day, to keep your skin soft, smooth and supple. This maintains your body's natural balance and keeps your skin hydrated and prevents dry skin, which is one of the main causes of wrinkles.

* Avoid going out in the sun, as far as possible. While a little sunlight is good for your skin, as it contains vitamin D, exposing your skin to sunlight during peak hour or for long periods of time can do a lot of damage. Therefore, it is advisable to take a light sunbath during the early hours of the morning. However, on a regular basis, make sure that you follow the required protective measures and use a hat, sun block and sun glasses whenever you go out in the sun.

* Deprivation of sleep leads to sleep lines, which soon turn into wrinkles. Therefore, to avoid these, it is important to get the right amount of sleep everyday. Sleep on your back, to avoid lines and creases from forming on your face.

* Cigarette smoking is not only injurious to the health, it can make your skin brittle and rough leading to wrinkles. People who smoke develop wrinkles a lot faster than non-smokers.

* High levels of stress can cause your body to get tensed. Stress usually leads to wrinkles, as people generally frown when they are stressed.

* Maintaining a healthy diet can prevent the formation of wrinkles to some extent. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, as they contain antioxidants that get rid of the free radicals produced by exposure to smoking or the sun.

* Exercising improves the circulation of blood to the entire body, including the face. If your body is fit from the inside, you will look young and healthy on the outside too. Yoga is a good way to help you relax and keep your skin radiant.

* Avoid washing your face too often, as it can lead to dryness. Wash your face about twice a day, with a cleanser and then use a moisturizer for clean and healthy skin.
