Spa is commonly associated with relaxation and therapy; thus, spa resorts gained immeasurable popularity. This is becoming a profitable business venture. Actually spa is associated with water, mineral water, as a method of treatment. Water is believed to have curative power. And today, there is an increasing number of day spas which are popular because of the offering for various personal care treatments.

In many states in U.S.A. there exist spas offering various treatments. They function as a detox therapy spa and it have a wide array of services - from nutritional cleansing to pain management. Most spa company offers home service so you can have all the treatments in the confines of your homes. Because of this home service, the establishment is dubbed as a spa on the run! One great service from an equally great spa is pain management; particular interest is the science of acupuncture. The pain management procedures to choose from are Far Infrared Heat Therapy, Acupuncture, Chiropractic Care and Ceragem Bed. But as said, acupuncture has been a reliably proven method since ancient times. So - why not have this initially as pain management method.

The purpose of having acupuncture therapy is two-fold: promoting health and alleviating pain. Originating from the Chinese, acupuncture now has a Japanese version. An acupuncture patient can choose from either the Chinese or Japanese methods. The difference between these two Oriental approaches is on how the needles are inserted. Under the Chinese method, needles are inserted vertically. While in the Japanese version, the needles are inserted at a slightly slanted position.

What is acupuncture?

First, it is a science of balancing the energy of a person. In acupuncture, the flow and distribution of a person's vital energy is assessed as it passes the known meridians. Treatment will be instituted by stimulating certain nerves along these meridians. Acupuncture treatment involves lots of needles to be inserted on several "acupoints" in the person's body.

In comparison to other alternative healing procedure, acupuncture is mostly similar to them. All have no need for medication, no surgery, no pain or no downtown time. The main issue is balance the good and the bad "chi".

Acupuncture is about needles, needles that are inserted in different parts of the human body. As has been proven, the needles will instigate balance and eventually lead to treatment. Thus pain management is successfully done. But as in other fields of study, acupuncture also underwent several innovations. This Oriental medical treatment now incorporates herbology, physical therapy, dietetics and Tai chi (a kind of special exercise). Similarly, other forms of stimulation are herbs, electricity, magnets and lasers.

Acupuncture is a proven medical alternative treatment. Find a professional acupuncturist if you want to try a healing process with many needles inserted in your body. Hopefully, you enjoy the treatment!
