Whether you're right behind your desk, watching TV at the office lounge, or typing away like crazy on your laptop, you can still workout your muscles. No matter how busy your day is, for as long as you exercise while sitting for a number of minutes on a regular basis, you will still be able to stretch the muscles in your body.

Exercises At Home, At Your Office, And The Likes

Many people will surely agree that it's not really that easy to find the time to engage in some exercise routines. People, who are able to head out to the gym twice or thrice a week, are in fact, lucky. If you're a work at home individual, a very busy office manager, etc, you need not worry as there are a number of routines you can do right there on your chairs and behind your desks.

Here are effective moves you can perform that can really workout your muscles:

Routine #1: This exercise can do wonders for your thighs, abs, buttocks, and your calves: First, you have to sit on your chair. Next, extend a leg in front, making sure that it is straight and stretched. Stay in that position for a couple of seconds. After that, raise your leg as high as possible, and, once again, hold for around two seconds. Do the same activity for the other leg. Repeat the move for 10 times for each leg, up to a maximum of 15 to stretch the muscles.

Routine #2: Part of exercises at home, and even at your workplace is what we can call the dumbbell routine. The said routine can be done without leaving your desk. All you need is a pair of light weight dumbbells to workout your muscles in these areas: back, shoulders, arms, waist, and abs. All you have to do is to stand holding one dumbbell in each hand, then, bend your elbows at the waist area. Bend your knees very slowly until you're in a squatting form, then, hold for a few seconds. Next, return to your standing position while lowering down those weights to the sides. Repeat for at least 10 times.

There are still more methods by which you can exercise while sitting. Even if you're busy at work, you can still stretch the muscles, specifically the ones on your legs, back, arms, abdomen, buttocks, etc. Workout your muscles even while on a chair today to start leading a healthier life.
