Feeling intense discomfort and extreme fear even if there's no real danger may actually mean that you have anxiety disorder symptoms. More often than not, patients diagnosed with panic disorders and anxiety-disorders feel an assortment of symptoms, both physical and psychological e.g. palpitations, body aches, diarrhea, and many more. Because of those many symptoms and their intensity, the treatment of anxiety should never be postponed.

The following are general signs that you are experiencing a panic/anxiety attack:

1. You notice yourself sweating everywhere even if the weather is cold, and even if you actually didn't do any strenuous activities.

2. You're having a hard time breathing.

3. You find it difficult to swallow.

4. You're feeling tremors in your body.

5. There's pain in your chest.

6. You're experiencing dizziness and nausea.

7. You suddenly have a great fear of dying.

More often than not, these symptoms and attacks happen during daytime, and, may occur even without reasonable cause, or may be felt in situations that the patient feels places him or her in some risk e.g. being left alone for hours in the home, being stuck in an elevator during a power shortage, etc. There are some patients, however, who may feel anxious or panic during night time, making those people afraid to go to bed, thus, insomnia develops.

Here are some of the options available for the treatment of anxiety and panic-attacks:

Option A: Doctor Prescribed Medications

A common method to treat anxiety is to take doctor-prescribed medications that aim to give you relief from anxiety disorder symptoms. More often than not, doctors will prescribe you with anti-depressants in order for you to calm down and stop feeling worried and anxious about certain things or situations.

Option B: Activities that relax you

Part of the treatments for anxiety is for the patient to engage in activities that will cause relaxation. For instance, you can join a yoga class, a Pilates class, or you can meditate in a quiet spot for your mind and body to feel calm. Bear in mind that relaxation is actually effective in the treatment of anxiety and panic disorders, and, can also reduce your stress levels. Stress, after all, can also be one factor why panic attack/anxiety attack symptoms suddenly occur.

The on time treatment of anxiety and panic-attack is something that you should never disregard. Anxiety disorder symptoms can really make you feel as if you're living your life abnormally, which is why you need to treat panic attacks and take treatments for anxiety seriously.
