In order to lose weight and maintain sound health you should give yourself about six months. During these six months you need to eat properly, perform aerobic exercises, and weight train. Weight training is a very important exercise because it will enable you to increase your lean body muscles. When you increase your lean body muscles your body metabolism will also increase.
This will make you burn a lot of calories. You should also perform aerobic exercises if you want to lose weight. Each session of the aerobic exercises should be short but very intense so that you can achieve fast weight loss and at the same time avoid catabolism. You need to eat proper meals containing little carbs, a lot of proteins and vegetables so that your body does not go into starvation mode.
