Down syndrome is one of the mysterious diseases that happen in a newborn baby. It cannot be prevented and the cure for it is still unknown. Infants will have mental retardation because of this disease.

Nowadays, experts can detect the babies with the symptoms of having a down syndrome. The can identify them through series of genetic test and physical examinations. By observing their physical aspects, most baby with this disease have physical characteristic different from the normal ones.
As they become older, observable behavior will manifest. Most of them are weak and cannot move normally. They cannot do things like normal person does. It is very important to consider them in their unusual behavior.
On the other hand, mental capabilities can also be observed in a person who is affected by this disease. Most of them have poor cognitive development. They cannot understand very well. Their thinking are far too late than their age. It is very important for the parents and other member of the family to provide affected child with all the love and care.
The cure for this disease is unknown and haven't discovered yet. However, there are some treatments and aid given to the affected patient in order for them to live even not normally. Affected person suffers from visual and hearing a problem that's why most of them wears hearing aids and eyeglasses.
Special schools are also created for those children with Down syndrome. These schools are dedicated to provide service and extended help for the children with Down syndrome. They expose affected children to various social activities so that they will learn to value themselves and have the good traits as a human person.
Down syndrome help is very necessary for every affected person. They needed all the love and care along with consideration and understanding. It cannot be prevented and there are no cures to totally eradicate this disease. What we have is the opportunity to help and make them feel as normal as possible so that they can experience how well is to have life.
