Stress factors cause the body to become sick or unhealthy. Recognizing the signs of it and keeping it from hurting your body and system will help you stay strong.

When you are anxious, preoccupied, or worried, the body increases your levels of the chemical cortisol. This is pumped through your blood stream, increases blood sugar, and suppresses the immune system.

Too much of this hormone can be detrimental to your health and wellness. If you are frequently out of sorts or overwhelmed, you may find that you get sick more often, feel tired, or are gaining weight.

More serious symptoms and side effects are migraines, depression, and heart problems. If you are already prone to issues like these, you must find ways to keep them from happening.

All of them can make becoming more fit and feeling great difficult. The key to keeping yourself from becoming sick and helping your body be a strong as it can be is by lowering the amount of stress you experience from day to day.

When your immune system is weakened, your body is more prone to allergies and illnesses. This results in sneezing, coughing, running a temperature, and overall feeling groggy and less than ready to take on all of the tasks you must accomplish.

If you are already experiencing these illnesses, find ways to prevent them from getting worse. When it comes to your mental wellness, take a bath to relax, meditate, read, sit in a quiet space, or clear your head of all of your worries and concerns.

To take care of your body, make use of Vitamin C and Echinacea, which are natural combatants against colds. Drink enough water to clear out your system and hydrate your body, so that your cells will be fully equipped to fight any bacteria and germs that are threatening you.

Stress also causes your body to pump out more hormones, like adrenaline. These can have an immense effect on your skin, and cause you to feel like you do not look your best.

Skin oils produced by the pumping of adrenaline cause the skin to break out. Be sure to thoroughly wash your face each day and treat any sores or blemishes you may find.

When you do not feel like your complexion is looking the way it should, this can cause you to worry even more. Utilize anti-stress techniques to prevent the overproduction of hormones.

Worrying and concern can also cause your body to feel tenser than usually, especially in your joints and jaw. If you have been feeling tightness in these areas, find ways to fight them.

If your jaw and chin feel stiff or are experiencing pain, you may be clenching your teeth while you sleep. To prevent this from happening at night, you can either place a warm washcloth on the area for five to ten minutes before you sleep to relax the muscles or visit a dentist to be fitted for a mouth guard.

For tense and stiff muscles and joint, splurge and get a professional massage. The masseuse will be able to relieve any knots or tension in your muscles and body.

Be sure to tell the professional exactly which pains you have been experiencing and where they have been occurring, so that you can have them examined and relaxed. After your massage, you should concentrate on relaxing, drinking lots of water to flush out any toxins, and sleeping or resting to keep your muscles in their calm state.

Anxiety may also cause you to have cravings for a plethora of different junk foods and sweets. If you find yourself ingesting a lot of these foods, you should realize the signs and immediately stop.

These will only decrease the health and ability of your system to fight illness and stress, and cause you to gain weight also. Instead, beat the blues by creating a workout plan.

It will give you the opportunity to channel your energy and worries into something that is beneficial for you and will make your system stronger. Get cardiovascular exercise by visiting the gym and spending at least thirty minutes on an elliptical each day.

Do not skip this habit, as it will be the most beneficial in combating any troubles or mental anguish you have. These machines will give you a great cardio workout but give you the option of a gentle or intense exercise, depending on your fitness level.

You can also put forth energy in weight training or boxing. The more you take care of your body and take time to relax, meditate, and clear your mind of your troubles, the stronger and more vivacious your body and immune system will be and the better you will feel.
