Changing Up Your Routine With Double Disc Court

Treadmills, ellipticals, stationary exercise bikes and other forms of home workout equipment are revolutionizing the world of exercise. Many people used to have legitimate and less than legitimate excuses for not exercising.

A legitimate excuse may be a mother who cannot afford to pay a babysitter to go exercising every day. A less than legitimate excuse may be a teenager who was unwilling to depart from his or her electronics for half an hour.

However, both of these types of excuses are now being remedied by home workout machines such as the treadmill, elliptical, and stationary exercise bike. Now, a teenager does not have to leave behind his or her precious electronics for a half an hour.

In addition, a mother does not have to leave her children with a babysitter while she exercises. She can watch her children while she exercises.

This sets a very good example for her children. As they see her exercise, they will realize how important exercising is to her and they may develop the habit of exercising early in their life.

The mother will then be sharing the benefits of exercising with them. The benefits of exercising are not limited to greater endurance and strength.

There are also many psychological benefits. For example, studies have found that those who exercise experience greater levels of self-esteem and self-confidence.

Children who experience higher levels in these things usually also experience greater success in life. This success will be invaluable to them.

However, after a while of exercising in the home, you may notice that you do not seem to be improving anymore. This lack of improvement is referred to as the plateau.

In order to overcome or avoid the plateau, you must change up your routine. You can do this by continuing to exercise on your home machine, but changing the settings to be harder, faster or longer.

Or you can throw in a random sport here and there to keep things exciting and new. You may want to try several new sports as well.

This will help you stay interested and motivated to exercise. A sport that is mostly unknown in the United States, but that is a lot of fun to play is called Double Disc Court.

Double Disc Court is generally played by two teams that have two players on each team with two Frisbees. Each team has a court that is 13 meters square in size that is located 17 meters from the opposing team's court.

The most basic want to gain points is to throw the Frisbee into the opposing team's court in such a way that the opposing team cannot catch it resulting in the Frisbee landing on the ground. However, if you miss the court and the Frisbee lands outside the court, the opposing team earns a point.

The best way to earn points is to time your throws so that both Frisbees are caught by the opposing team at the same time. This means that your team earns two points instead of the normal one point.

This method of earning points is called "doubling" your opponents. Many teams will avoid falling trap to a double by tipping one of the Frisbees up in the air.

Then, they will catch and throw the other Frisbee before the other one comes back down. Tipping is not considered to be catching the Frisbee, so it is an excellent strategy to buy time.

The game of Double Disc Court begins when one player from each team flips a disc calls "same" or "different." If the Frisbees land both with the face up or the face down, the team with that called same gets first pick in one of three areas.

The three areas are which court they will defend, which team will begin, and which team will decide on its server first. The losing team will then get to choose one of the other two options to make a decision on.

Finally, the winning team will get to decide the last of the three options. Once this is decided, the partner that is not serving will yell "Ready, two, one, throw.

The server will then throw the Frisbee. The words called must be called in an even time interval and take no longer than 2 to 3.5 seconds.

If the caller does not call the serve right, the opposing team may call "bad call." Whether play simply continues, points are awarded, or something else happens depends on who you are playing with.

However, this is a very fun way to change up your routine. It will be a great way to get together with friends and avoid the plateau.
