Flu is very contagious and once we have it, it affects our life for the time being. It means that we become less productive and in some severe cases we really have to rest it off. It means that we can't work thus it would affect our financial status and also bad for the working atmosphere. It means that you will have to work doubly hard when you get back to work because it piled up during your absence. This means that we must be aware that to prevent flu is very essential to us so as not to cause burden to others and also to ourselves. However, since this is viral, we cannot really prevent it from happening to the fullest. We can acquire it anytime; unless we opt to isolate ourselves from the world then there would be a 95% that we wouldn't catch it. The bottom line however is that we need to socialize thus we also need to embrace all the sickness that goes with it and one of it is flu. Since we cannot guarantee a 100% freedom from flu, then flu treatment is really necessary.

What are the different types of flu treatment? There are many ways on how to treat the flu. Start with the very basic, drink a lot of water. By doing so, you eliminate the toxics that you have in your body, thus cleansing your body and freeing you from the virus that this flu brings. With water, take vitamin C as well, although it is said that vitamin c is for prevention, doubling the dose of vitamin c in the body can help you heal faster from the flu. Of course if you have money to spend and want cure in an instant, take a shot of injection from your doctor. This would be more expensive than over the counter medicines though. Over the counter medicines are also great treatments for flu. There are a lot of pain killers, fever reducer, liniments for inhalation for those who cannot breathe well due to stuffy nose. For some taking this medication for 3 to 4 days would relieve them from the flu.

There are instances however when a bigger dose of flu treatment is necessary especially for those viral infections that led to bacterial ones. For this we should already be taking antibiotics for it. When this happen, medical assistance is already needed since failure to do this might lead to a more serious kind of disease such as pneumonia, tuberculosis or rheumatic heart disease. It is very important for us to take care of ourselves. Most of the time we tend to take our flu for granted thinking that it will just cure itself in due time, however, not known to us if this viral infection is not treated it gets worse and worse every time we have the flu. So treatment to flu is necessary for it can also cause our death if not taken cared of. To ensure a healthy life for us, we need to take care of our health. Prevention is better than cure.
