What remedies for flu do you know of? These days our weather has been crazily changing that we are prone to catch a cold once in a while. From a very heat weather which changes to a very cold one could ensure also changes in our body temperature thus giving us a not so fit as a fiddle kind of health. Flu and colds cannot be avoided since it is viral and could be acquired with just a simple gesture of shaking hands. No matter how we avoid it, we cannot do otherwise because we have to live in an environment where there are a lot of people. This means that if one of those you meet has a flu then you are also vulnerable to have that flu soon.

This is the very reason why we need remedies for flu. It is apparent that it cannot be avoided thus it we must know how to remedy it. For some people, water therapy is the best remedy. Drinking a lot could give your body more fluids thus cleansing your body. The more drink water, the more you try to eliminate those harmful wastes in your body that may cause the flu. Others would take lots of vitamin C. However, unknown to others, vitamins are there to help us prevent the disease from occurring and it is not a cure. This is a very wrong mentality to take vitamins when signs of colds and flu are already deterrent. Vitamin C is best for prevention thus it is recommended to be taken daily as a form of maintenance and this goes with the other vitamins as well. If we want remedy for our cold then we already need to take prescriptions for it. There are a lot of pills sold over the counter which suggests cure to this flu. One of them is the medicine that we call paracetamol. When we have a flu, we naturally would acquire fever and headaches, this medicine helps to relieve us from the pains that the flu brings and lowers the fever.

Although this is a form of good cure for the patient, the older people would claim the herbs and natural home remedies are best in healing the flu. Herbs have no chemicals involved in it thus it is not harmful to the health unlike the prescriptions that we buy over the counter wherein some chemicals are already mixed with it. These chemicals in the long run are also harmful to our help and do not help in the cure but add up to our diseases in the future. What's worst to this is that it is not easy on the pocket unlike the herbs that we could just pick out, out of our garden. However, there is also the downside of these herbs. There are no guaranteed therapeutic claims for it. It is just by word of mouth from our ancestors that we could trust, and since there are no chemicals involved in it, it takes more time to cure than the medicines we buy. Still, in whatever way we want remedies for flu, there are a lot of options that you can choose from, all you have to do is to follow what you think is suitable for you.
