Constipation occurs when a person is unable to experience frequent bowel movement or there is a reduction in the amount or weight of bowel because there is a problem within the digestive area. When the bowel movement becomes infrequent then the toxins in the body build up and it becomes difficult to be excreted. This situation can cause toxins being release into the system's blood stream which then circulates into the body and can lead to the body being infected with diseases like as rheumatism, arthritis etc.

There are a number of reasons for being constipated, such as low of fiber in foods, limited fluid intake, weak abdominals and irregular eating, just to name a few. In some extreme situations medical aid may be needed however there are several ways to cure the ailment by using products that can be sourced in the home. Something as simple as taking water can be one of the best home treatments for someone's constipation. 6 - 8 glasses of water is efficient for helping to digesting food nutrients in the body. There are also various ways in which water can be used to ease constipation, such as putting in 1/4 teaspoon of epsom salt to the water before drinking it, or boiling the water and adding lime juice and salt to ease the stomach.

Almost any fruit can be taken to relieve the body from constipation and promote regular bowel movement; however some fruits are more capable in getting the job done these include prunes, bael fruit, pear, grapes, orange, guava, mangos etc. Bael fruit can be eaten before dinner, and this helps to clean and tone the intestinal tract, clearing the stomach of excessive faecal waste. Pear fruit can be eatenthroughout the day to heal|cure the body from chronic constipation. Grapes have, organic acids, cellulose and sugars that help the internal system's natural digestive systems to function at its best. It alleviates the body of chronic constipation and tones up the intestines.

Eating an orange before retiring to bed is a great way to encourage bowel movements. The juice from the orange helps in stimulating the colon area to prevent the build up of food deposits. When you eat the guava with its seeds the fiber from the fruit aids the natural process of the digestive system to work in its usual pattern. These fruits can also be used to create juices which work just as effective. Mango, grape and prune juice are especially excellent for endorsing good bowel movement. You can also take half cup of cabbage juice twice daily to cure constipation. Prior to bed 2 tablespoons of blackstrap molasses works well because it has high amounts of calories which is good for bowel movement.
